This past week, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting with several citizens, community groups and political organizations throughout Detroit. These engagements have been truly energizing and allowed for honest conversations on a wide range of issues such as: residents being displaced and priced out of their own neighborhoods, the historic role of unions in generating high-paying jobs, illegal auto repair shops and their impact on our neighborhoods, the lack of recreational facilities and its negative impact on the development of our children, and even motorcycle safety and the need for safe spaces. I would like to thank the following organizations for their time:

  • 2nd Precinct Community Relations Organization
  • Charlevoix Village Association
  • Detroit Workers for Responsible Contracting Coalition
  • Emerald Isles CDC
  • Detroit Chapter Ruff Ryders
  • District 7 Cody Rouge Community
  • Michigan Welfare Rights Coalition

On Sunday, May 23, 2021, I attended the early worship service at Hartford Memorial Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Christian Adams, where I had a meaningful meet and greet with Hartford’s members. Later that morning, I also worshiped with the 180° Church led by Pastor Lorenzo Sewel. He and his dynamic members prayed for the success of my campaign and our beloved city.

I ended the evening with a refreshing interview by Detroit’s infamous Shawn P on his Da Laugh and Giggle Facebook Podcast. Click here to enjoy our hilarious exchanges and see a lighter side to your candidate!

Join the A-Team! Last week, I held a volunteer rally and appreciation event at my campaign headquarters and shared more of my vision to address the real issues impacting Detroit neighborhoods. I’m excited to announce that over 150 citizens enrolled as volunteers during this event! Please stop by our headquarters at 19512 Livernois Avenue Detroit, MI 48221 to grab campaign literature, yard signs, enlist as a volunteer, and notify me of community engagement opportunities.

In it to Win it! A recent study shows that I have gained 13 points in the polls! I am sending a huge THANK YOU! to all who have lent their support and donated to my campaign!

As you know, I am running for mayor without the benefit of million-dollar, corporate sponsors. Every dollar you contribute is a step forward to defeating my opponent! Let’s work together and secure the resources needed to push the Anthony Adams for Mayor campaign forward to victory! To make a campaign donation, click here.
